Landstuhl police issued 12 warnings this weekend to motorists attempting to bypass construction on Weiherstrasse by unlawfully using Burgweg, a connector between the city center and the Melkerei district.

Despite clear no-entry signs, some motorists attempted to use the access road near Nanstein Castle as an alternative route, Landstuhl police said.

Police have announced that surveillance will continue to enforce compliance with the established detours.
