Air Force basic and technical trainees no longer have any alternative exercises available in the service’s fitness test, as only the three traditional events are now being used in the assessment for them.
The free event features hands-on activities, demonstrations, and entertainment geared toward families, children and teens, according to county officials. Indoor and outdoor offerings will be provided by local associations, including county tourism.
The service is likely going to implement biannual testing for all airmen, bring back waist measurements to assess body composition and replace the 1.5-mile run with a 2-mile version.
