Seoul, South Korea, April 28, 1953: Hundreds of South Koreans march through the streets of Seoul chanting “to north” and holding banners that read “Give us unification or death,” and “Let’s march north for the unification of the motherlands.” It was the second unification demonstration held in Seoul in three days. The Korean armistice negotiations — which began in 1951 — were restarted again April 6.
