A tank and Marines move to position themselves on Go Noi Island

Go Noi Island, Vietnam, June 12, 1969: The 1st Battalion, 1st Regiment, 1st Marine Division moves to take up a position on the south side of Go Noi Island supported by Marine tanks and Landing Vehicles Tanks (LVTs). The 1st Division, ARVNs, and Korean Marines are taking part in Operation Pipestone Canyon, aimed at clearing the Communists off of the island, located 10 miles south of Da Nang and five miles inland from Hoi An.
