Four combat medics carry a seven month old Iraqi child

Jisr Diyala, Iraq, May 18, 2008: Sgt. Dontre Robinson, Spc. Christopher Pay, Sgt. 1st Class James Toone and Sgt. George Alonzo, from the left, all combat medics for 1-35 Armor, carry Mariam, a seven month old Iraqi child, to a Blackhawk for evacuation to a hospital at Balad Air Base from Combat Outpost Cashe in Jisr Diyala, Iraq. The malnourished and dehydrated child who received a shunt in the brain five months ago is nearing critical condition. Maj. (Dr.) Felix Oduwa, the doctor for 1-35 Armor, lobbied for American treatment fearing that the child would die if turned away.
