Grafenwoehr, Germany, Aug. 28, 1947: Staff Sgt John L. Bell, L Company, 18th Infantry Division cleans his pistol after shooting. SSgt. Bell participated in the pistol matches at the Infantry Training Center at Grafenwoehr. Bell’s match was one of many as soldiers battled for the honors to be the sharpest shooter in various pistol and rifle competitions.
