Army doctor in JBLM sexual abuse case sentenced to nearly 14 years in prison

Col. Larry Babin, the military judge of the trial, said he had deliberated more than 12 hours before deciding to sentence Maj. Michael Stockin to the maximum amount of prison time allowed under a plea deal. At least 26 patients have filed claims against the Army over Stockin’s abuse, totaling $130 million.

Army doctor pleads guilty in JBLM sex abuse case

Maj. Michael Stockin reached a plea deal that a lawyer representing some of the dozens of victims said would result in a sentence of 10 to 14 years in military prison. At least 22 of Stockin’s victims have filed federal claims against the Army, totaling at least $110 million.
