(Tribune News Service) — The New Orleans Air Show will fly back over Belle Chasse Naval Air Station this weekend and will feature a veritable squadron of aircraft to celebrate aviation.

The show is Saturday and Sunday at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans, located on La. 23 in Belle Chasse.

The show begins each day at 10 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m., with gates opening at 8 a.m. Admission and parking are free, but a photo ID is required for those over 18.

A highlight of the show is the appearance by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels Super Hornets, the precision flying team. Other performers include the Misty Blues Jump Team, Louisiana State Police, F-16 Viper Demo Team, T-6 Texan, Laang 159th, B-25 Devil Dog and Aarron Deliu: Extra 330SC.

Because of security restrictions, exact times for the performances are not made public prior to the show.

In addition to the aeronautical acrobatics, there will be aircraft on display, virtual games, vendors, food, souvenirs and a kids’ zone.

Hearing protection is encouraged, especially for children. Folding chairs are permitted as well as wagons and strollers.

Not permitted are drones, weapons, pets, tents, smoking or vaping in most areas and coolers.

Outside food and drink are also not permitted.

Premium seating is also available including seating and access to the beer garden. Tickets start at $60.
