Cmdr. Jeremy Roberston of the USS Carney took time out of his very busy schedule patrolling the Red Sea to give a shout out to the Navy Midshipmen ahead of the 124th Army-Navy Game on Saturday in Foxborough, Mass.

CBS aired it during the broadcast.

As part of the video greeting, Robertson had another message: The Carney is 22-0 against enemy drones and missiles during its mission in the Middle East.

The video included footage not seen before of the Carney firing its missiles and completing nighttime intercepts.

A week ago, the Carney responded to distress calls from three commercial ships as part of an hourslong assault claimed by Yemen’s Houthi rebels.

Carney shot down three drones in self-defense during the assault, the U.S. military said. It marked an escalation in a series of maritime attacks in the Mideast linked to the Israel-Hamas war.
