The Navy Blue Angels were the featured performers during the weekend at the Maxwell Air Force Base Beyond the Horizon Air and Space Show.
It was the first time the Blue Angels had appeared at a Maxwell show.
An estimated 200,000 spectators witnessed the aerial spectacle, either on the ground or online, according to Maxwell AFB.
Other military performers included the F-16 Viper Demonstration Team and U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team, who treated the reigning Miss Alabama, Bri Burrell, with a tandem jump on Saturday.
In addition to the aerial acrobatics, the show featured ground displays of various aircraft, interactive exhibits, and opportunities for attendees to meet with pilots and air crews, who provided behind-the-scenes looks at the technology and personnel that make air and space operations possible.
Base officials hope to host another air show in two or three years.
