STUTTGART, Germany — Army and Air Force Exchange Service customers will not be able to use their fuel cards at Esso stations on Sunday morning because of a planned system upgrade.
The outage will last from 5-11 a.m., AAFES said in a news release. During that time, customers will not be able to load funds on their fuel card accounts, and tax-free gas purchases will not be possible at local Esso stations. New or replacement cards also cannot be acquired during the upgrade, AAFES said.
As a result, people who use Esso stations during the system upgrade will pay full price for their fuel purchases. Exchange gas stations on post will remain open, but only for cash transactions.
